May 2010 CTEHAs 30th Annual Education Conference will be held May 26 27 in San Marcos. We have been working hard to beef up the conference and are really proud of the program our Governing Council has put together. We will have our usual General Sanitation and OSSF Tracts, but have added two new tracts. We will be offering a special 8 hour tract called TFER 101 taught by Ruth Hendy, from DSHS. We are also very proud to be offering for the first time an Animal Care tract. We are looking forward to seeing a lot of familiar faces, and meeting a lot of new people at the conference with the addition of these new tracts. As usual, CTEHA is offering the Conference at a very low price. We will also be providing a BBQ lunch on Thursday, and hosting a Happy Hour on Wednesday evening. Look for the Conference Agenda and Registration in the Beacon and on the TEHA website. Hope to see you in San Marcos in May! Lori Calzoncit January 2010 CTEHA's Dec. 3 meeting
was a great success with 90 members in attendance and 15 new members.
The City of San Marcos provides them with a free place to hold their
meetings and city employees attend free. CTEHA will hold a TFER meeting
with Ruth Hendy presenting May 26-27. They currently have 60 people
registered with several more on a waiting list. Ruth reported that she
would also be presenting the TFER in September for the South Texas Chapter.
Lori said CTEHA had recently purchased a new computer and projector
that would be available for use at the AEC. Lori also said the sale
of TEHA T-shirts is going very well. Visit the Enviro Library for a presentation from the Central Texas Meeting (OSSF) |
