Dear
Affiliate Presidents,
NEHA is
pleased to announce a new program being offered to affiliates-one
that benefits your organization and the local professionals
you support and represent. This new program, the NEHA Affiliate
Distributorship program, provides your affiliate with the opportunity
to generate revenue with very little work involved on your part.
Let me explain..
Attached
is the NEHA 2009 Affiliate Distributorship catalog. This catalog
contains some of the most relevant and popular books available
through the NEHA Bookstore. From recommended study references
for the REHS/RS and CP-FS credentials to bestsellers and preparedness
resources, the books offered in this catalog are used by environmental
health professionals across the country.
Through
the NEHA Affiliate Distributorship program, affiliates receive
10% of the sales made by individuals referencing your affiliate
on the catalog Order Form. As an added bonus, the books in the
catalog are being offered at the lower NEHA member rate.
So, what
do you have to do? To participate in the program, your affiliate
just needs to get the word out and make the catalog available
to its members. You can post the catalog on your Web site, send
it to your members in an e-mail blast, advertise the program
in your newsletters, and/or provide copies of the catalog at
any affiliate function/conference.
How much
time and effort you want to put into disseminating the catalog
is up to you. Orders placed on behalf of your affiliate will
be tracked by NEHA and a check will be issued to your affiliate
quarterly for any sales you brought in through the catalog.
Individuals
just need to fill out the Order Form in the catalog and submit
it to NEHA. NEHA will process the order and ship the book(s)
out. You don't have to worry about order processing, keeping
any inventory, shipping costs, etc. We will handle all that
for you.
Some specifics
about the program:
a.. Each
affiliate is responsible for disseminating the catalog in any
way they see fit, be it through e-mail, the Internet, newsletters,
and/or in paper form. NEHA is not responsible for any costs
incurred by the affiliate in disseminating the catalog.
b.. In order
to receive credit for any sales, orders must be placed using
the Order Form on page six of the catalog. Orders placed any
other way will not be credited to your affiliate.
c.. The
program is only valid for the books listed in the catalog.
d.. A person
does not need to be a member of NEHA or your affiliate to be
eligible for the NEHA member pricing being offered through this
program.
e.. NEHA
will track the sales generated from this program and will issue
your affiliate a check for 10% of any sales made on behalf of
your affiliate.
f.. Checks
will be issued quarterly.
g.. The
10% will be calculated using the unit prices listed in the catalog.
Shipping/handling and tax are not included when calculating
this percentage.
h.. NEHA
reserves the right to change any books being offered through
this program. NEHA also reserves the right to end this program
at any time. Participation in this program is up to you. However,
this could be a great way for your affiliate to generate some
income that could go towards scholarships, educational opportunities,
operating costs, etc. And, in these tough economic times, who
isn't looking for ways to generate some extra income. If interested
