Awards Summary

I.E. Scott Award

Each year, the I E Scott Awards Committee will accept nominations for the I E Scott Award to recognize individuals for a career of outstanding contributions to the Environmental Health Profession.  Criteria have been established by the I E Scott Awards Committee and approved by the Governing Council.  Candidates and recipients must be a current member of the association.  In addition, the winder of the I E Scott Award shall also be nominated for the Meritorious Service Award given by the National Environmental Health Association.

Thomas E. (Tom) Edmonson Meritorious Award

Each year, Chapter Presidents may present to the Committee on Awards, one nomination for the Thomas E. Edmonson Meritorious Award to recognize an individual for a career of outstanding service to the Texas Environmental Health Association.  Recipient must be a current member of the association.

Chapter Presidents may present to the Committee on Awards, one nominee for Chapter Meritorious Service and Industry Meritorious Service.

                   Ruth Hendy Award of Excellence

TEHA will accept applications for the Ruth Hendy Award of Excellence in Food Safety Award to recognize entities that achieve a high degree of professionalism and commitment to the communities they serve.  TEHA will be presenting awards to entities meeting the designated standards. 

To apply for the "Ruth Hendy Award of Excellence"  applicants must submit a description of their food and beverage sanitation program, covering activity over the past year in which sustained improvements and excellence are demonstrated.  To be considered for the Ruth Hendy Award of Excellence, an applicant must submit justification in all categories
